The Elizabeth Line, known as Crossrail during construction, is a new railway service extending over 100km from Reading and Heathrow in the west to Abbey Wood and Shenfield in the east via over 25km of new tunnels under central London. Opening on 24 May 2022, the core service will eventually operate 24 trains per hour and will provide much relief from the overcrowded Tube. With class 345 purple-liveried trains, the line is built to last. Ten new state of the art stations have been built each of which has been individually designed with a theme based on the location. This Adventure Lab will let you explore the architecture at five of the stations: * Paddington * Tottenham Court Road * Farringdon * Whitechapel * Canary Wharf. All answers will be found at street side. It is not necessary to cross the ticket gate line in order to do this AdLab. With that said, if you do possess a Travelcard, Oyster card or other permit to travel on the line you may enjoy the visit even more! #purpletrain
