Lake Union Wildlife

This is a tour of Lake Union from the water. It visits some hidden gems, introduces some wonderful spots, and highlights some surprising wildlife found on the water. This adventure is designed to be done with a personal watercraft such as a kayak, paddleboard or rowboat. Larger boats may find some locations challenging. Rental watercraft are available at several locations around Lake Union, including: - Agua Verde Paddle Club - Center for Wooden Boats - Moss Bay Kayak Paddleboard and Sail - Northwest Outdoor Center Personal watercraft may be launched from many locations including the boat ramp at Sunnyside Ave N. See https://www.nwoc.com/rental/access This adventure is on the water, so consider how you plan to keep you GPS/smartphone dry. Also, the locations are spread over 1.5 miles (2.5 km), which may feel like a long way for some paddlers. Prevailing winds are north-south. It's always safest to go upwind first, and the locations may be visited in any order.
