Welcome to Willen Lake North, the quieter of the 2 Willen Lakes, and in my opinion, the more beautiful of the two also! Home to the Peace Pagoda (see my Pause for Art Adventure Lab), the Circle of Hearts Medicine Wheel, the Buddhist Temple, the Labyrinth, and much more! The 'Midsummer Line' also passes straight through this park, which follows the Midsummer sunrise that runs along Midsummer Boulevard 'up city', the Belvedere in Campbell Park, through the Tree Cathedral, through the centre of the Medicine Wheel and the central island in the lake. The Midsummer Line shows the "earth's natural energy line", or Ley Lines. This adventure will take you on a short walk along the west side of the lake taking in some key points, but the walk around the lake is lovely! Free and paid parking locations can be found as waypoints on the bonus mystery geocache.
