Historic City of Dunsmuir

Welcome to the Historic City of Dunsmuir California. I felt this charming little town needed a lab adventure to take you to 5 notable locations within city limits. The official city slogan is "Home of the best water on Earth". During the steam locomotive railroad era it was notable for being the site of an important railroad yard. Today Dunsmuir is officially a Union Pacific "Train Town". It is also famous for it's fishing with visitors often coming to catch trout in the Sacramento and McCloud Rivers. In 1887 the completion of the Central Pacific Railroad along the line of the Siskiyou Trail led to the creation of this town. It is named after Alexander Dunsmuir who donated a fountain in exchange for having the town named after him. Don't forget to write down the information in each journal entry in order to find the coordinates to the bonus cache at GC9TKBX.
