This geocache starts at the Oso Trailhead of the Ventura River Preserve, N 34 27.616 W 119 17.430. You are about to embark on a 4.6-mile loop hike with about 675 feet of elevation gain. You will be on the Wills-Rice loop of the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy (OLVC) River Preserve. You may do the hike in either direction, but the "next closest feature" will take you counter-clockwise Scott, gsmX2, is a Hiking Guide at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa (OVIS). He often takes guests on this loop. It is a moderate hike with a variety of environs and scenery. OVIS is involved in the OVLC, providing funds and trail maintenance volunteers. The Ojai Valley Cachers (OVC) have fully populated this trail with geocaches, approximately twenty-two of them including the Bonus Geocache for this AL. The OVC also adopted the El Nido Trail section and conducts two CITOs per year.
