A Farm, A Community: Codman Explorations

This adventure takes you on a walking tour of South Lincoln's Codman district. Ogden Codman was an American architect and interior decorator in the Beaux-Arts styles. Codman co-authored with Edith Wharton the book The Decoration of Houses (1897), which became a standard in American interior design. If you can arrange it, take this Adventure Lab tour in conjunction with a tour of the Codman House. Codman's estate was divided into multiple uses, and forms the pillar of what makes living in Lincoln great. Living in Lincoln you can get fresh produce, meat, and eggs despite its proximity to Boston. This tour will take you to some special and unique locations that highlight the unique character and magic of Codman. It starts in the parking lot of the Codman House. Coordinates are provided for a bonus cache located about 1.5 miles away when you complete this Adventure. Please note that this Adventure is much more enjoyable spring through fall!
