SideTracked - Waterloo

Waterloo Station is Britains biggest and busiest station with some 41 million passenger journeys in 2022. The Station was opened in 1848 by the London and Southwestern Railway and underwent significant rebuilding post World War 1 reopening in 1922 with the famous Victory Arch which forms a striking main entrance to the station and serves as a memorial to those Railway workers who were killed during the World War 1. The Station serves routes across the Southwest of England including destinations such as Southampton, Portsmouth and Salisbury. Waterloo was home to the Eurostar Terminal for trains via the Channel Tunnel from 1994-2007. The distinctive former terminals platforms stood empty for several years after international services transferred to St Pancras but now provide extra capacity for domestic services. The famous Waterloo Clock dominates the concourse and has been a popular meeting place for many years. This Adventure Cache will take you on a short tour around the station.
