Murals of New Hamburg

New Hamburg has several murals that showcase some area history. Lance Russwurm painted all but one of them. Parking can be on street or at N43° 22.653' W80° 42.675' New Hamburg's present settlement started in the 1820's. There is evidence of at least 4 previous groups of nomadic indigenous inhabitants in the Wilmot area. The Nith River (previously called Smith's Creek) winds through New Hamburg placing it at risk for seasonal flooding. Water power was a key to the early history of the area. This should be wheelchair accessible and easily walkable unless there is a lot of snow around and should take less than an hour. All stages are in outdoor public places.
