Los Padres Three Peaks Adventure

The adventure will take the participant over three peaks in the Los Padres National Forest. The three peaks are accessible from NFS-designated trails. Mt. Pinos, Sawmill Mountain, and finally Grouse Mountain. The trip is more than 10 miles roundtrip with an elevation gain greater than 2,000 ft. Research the hike beforehand and be prepared! It is highly suggested to not attempt this when the mountains are snow-covered. During the winter, the road up to Mt. Pinos will at times be closed and at other times require chains. Be prepared. You WILL NEED a Southern California Annual Forest Adventure Pass to legally park in the parking lot. Failure to have one on display may result in a parking ticket. You can not purchase this on-site and since the nearest Ranger Station is closed to the public, you will need to acquire one beforehand. A simple google search will help you locate a place of purchase throughout Southern California.
