Beaches Of Maui: Wailea To Makena

Maui is an awesome Hawaiian island with lots of great beaches. Many of the beaches are in front of, or next to massive resorts. If you would like to find some with a bit serenity and solitude, head instead to the 'secret', off-the-beaten-path beaches, where you'll find quieter shores, clear waters and magical views. This adventure lab will explore some of my favorite, quieter beaches on the south-west side of the island. Be sure to visit some of the beaches you see along the way. Even though these beaches are quieter than many other beaches in the area, they can be rather busy during times of peak tourism. One additional serene beach that will not be visited on this experience, is Sugar Beach (the beautiful beach picture). It is about 2 1/2 miles of pure beach walking, as it stretches from Sugar Beach in North Kihei to Haycraft Beach in Ma'alaea. For those of you that would like a long peaceful walk along a wonderful beach, this is one you should explore - after completing the AL.
