Krustpils pils vēsture ir gandrīz 800 gadus sena – to 1237. gadā licis uzbūvēt Rīgas arhibīskaps Nikolajs de Magdeburgs kā nocietinājumu ceļā no Rīgas uz Daugavpili. 16. gadsimta vidū Krustpils pils nonāca Polijas karaļa Stefana Batorija īpašumā un kļuva par muižas centru. Polijas karalis 1585. gadā Krustpils pili uzdāvināja baronam Nikolausam fon Korfam. Baronu fon Korfu dzimta Krustpilī saimniekoja vairāk nekā 300 gadus. Krustpils muižas parks veidots ne agrāk par 1870. gadu, reizē ar jaunu pils piebūvju celtniecību. *** Krustpils Castle is one of the best preserved medieval castles in Latvia. From the 13th century to the 16th century Krustpils castle was owned by the archbishop of Riga. Polish king gave Krustpils castle as a present to baron Nikolauss fon Korff at the end of the 16th century. Krustpils castle was the property of the fon Korff family till 1921. The Krustpils manor park was created no earlier than 1870, at the same time as the construction of new palace annexes.
