A Tour of Port Rowan

Port Rowan is a small town on Lake Erie, known as "The Gateway to Long Point". It has a population of around 1500. It's probably best known for its harbour's iconic boathouses, which are a favourite for photographers and artists. After being called several different names between 1797 and 1819, it was named Port Rowan, after Colonel Rowan, who was secretary to the lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada. Port Rowan holds a special place in my heart, as my grandparents lived there, and I have many happy childhood memories there.
