Grass Valley Mining

This adventure lab is all about the mining in Grass Valley area. The ten locations are between 2 stops at The Empire Mine State Historical Park and the North Star Mine Powerhouse Museum. The Empire Mine parking area is open daily 10-4 pm. except Christmas, New Years and Thanksgiving. There is only a fee if you want to access the inside exhibits and gardens which is very interesting. All answers can be found outside the fee area. There are picnic tables and dogs are allowed on leashes. There are great hiking trails if you want to enjoy the area. The second location is at the mining museum where you can wander around the yard and see all the equipment. The actual inside museum is closed right now. Empire Mine State Historic Park is the site of one of the oldest, deepest, and richest gold mines in California. It was in operation for more than 100 years. Start at the Empire Mine and end at the North Star and you will be closer to the bonus: GC937QZ
