A Pleasant Adventure through Mt. Pleasant

Welcome to Mt. Pleasant- a quaint village outside of Brantford, ON. While it may be just a dot on the map, Mt. Pleasant has some significant history to share. You may notice some colourful quilt patterns on boards in the area- they are part of the historic Quilt Trail. A stop at the Mount Pleasant Elementary School will bring you to a plaque detailing the life of Dr. Augusta Stowe- Canada's first female graduate in medicine who was born here. Outside of the boundaries of this ALC is the Mt. Pleasant Nature Park where the first provincial hatchery was opened. For more information, here is a link to the "Mount Pleasant Historical Walking Tour" with a total of 23 stops. I hope you enjoy your stroll! https://www.brant.ca/en/live-and-discover/resources/MtPleasantWalkingTour-Brochure.pdf
