Comfort - Speed - Safety - The PET Adventure

The Pacific Electric Railroad was once the world's largest interurban and street railway system. It stretched west to Santa Monica, south to Newport Beach and east into Redlands and Riverside. The system's hub was centered in Los Angeles and the distinctive red rail car was responsible for its nickname, the Red Line. The San Bernardino line, which was completed in 1914, was the longest line. Stations were located in Claremont, Upland, Alta Loma, Etiwanda, Fontana, and Rialto, with an adjoining line running south from Bloomington into Riverside. The lines are no longer in use, but much of this line was converted into the Pacific Electric Trail (PET) stretching from Claremont all the way to Rialto. This particular Adventure will follow the PET from Claremont to Etiwanda, but can be done in either direction. All stops are either on or within a couple of blocks of the PET. Pay attention to the journal entries as they will give you the coordinates for GC9G2A1, the bonus to this Adventure.
